Materials Needed
1 smooth river rock (4-6 inches long, flat enough to paint on).
Acrylic paints in the following colors (based on Red Fraggle’s design, with hex codes for accuracy):
Pinkish-Red for Red’s fur: #FF4040 (Raspberry).
Yellow for Red’s hair: #FFFF00 (Yellow).
Light Purple for Red’s nose and eyelids: #DDA0DD (Plum).
White for Red’s eyes and sweater accents: #FFFFFF.
Black for pupils and outlines: #000000.
Orange for Red’s sweater: #FFA500 (Orange).
Pink for Red’s tongue: #FF69B4 (Hot Pink).
Paintbrushes (fine tip for details).
White paint pen or white acrylic paint (for lettering or highlights).
Clear outdoor sealant.
Pencil (for sketching the design).
Steps to Paint the Red Fraggle Rock
Clean the Rock: Wash the rock with soap and water, then dry completely to ensure paint adheres well.
Sketch the Design: Lightly sketch Red Fraggle with a pencil—her round face, big eyes, small nose, and pigtails. Red has a pinkish-red face, yellow hair in pigtails, and a light purple nose.
Paint the Base Colors:
Paint Red’s fur (face and body) in pinkish-red (#FF4040). Let dry.
Paint her nose and eyelids in light purple (#DDA0DD).
Paint her hair in yellow (#FFFF00), styling it into two pigtails with a fine brush.
Add Facial Features:
Paint her eyes white (#FFFFFF), then add black pupils (#000000) with a fine brush.
Add a small pink tongue (#FF69B4) inside her smiling mouth.
Outline features with black (#000000) for definition.
Paint the Sweater: Red wears a red-and-orange striped sweater—paint the base orange (#FFA500) with white stripes (#FFFFFF).
Seal the Rock: Apply a clear outdoor sealant to protect the paint from weather.
Display: Place the rock in your garden as a whimsical accent, perhaps near a flower bed or pathway.
